What Adriatic Yacht Guide Is

Adriatic Yacht Guide is an independent, editorially run planning resource for yacht charters in Croatia and Montenegro, published by Strandway Systems. We are not a charter company, a broker or an agency: we don't operate yachts, we don't take bookings, and we never handle your money. Our job is the research layer before the booking — helping you work out what kind of charter fits your group, what it genuinely costs once APA, VAT and gratuities are counted, and what questions to ask before you sign a contract.

How We Make Money

Plainly: through affiliate partnerships. When we link to a charter broker, private aviation or car-hire partner and you enquire or book through that link, we may earn a commission. Three things about that arrangement matter to you:

• It costs you nothing. Charter brokers are paid commission by the yacht, so the price you're quoted is the same whether you arrive through our link or type the broker's address yourself.
• Partners don't see our drafts and can't buy coverage. No partner reviews, edits or approves our guides, and no page's conclusions change because of who pays us.
• We say what we'd actually do. Where the honest answer costs us a click — a bareboat is better value for your qualified crew, a shoulder-season week beats July, a €200,000 budget buys more holiday on a 30m than a tired 40m — we write that.

How We Research Our Numbers

Charter pricing is opaque, and most published "from" prices are marketing. The rate ranges in our guides are compiled from publicly listed charter fleet pricing across the major Adriatic booking platforms and broker listings, checked against the fee structures (APA percentages, VAT rates, gratuity norms) that are standard in MYBA-style charter contracts. We state ranges rather than false precision, we date our guides to the season they describe, and when a number is genuinely variable — fuel on a motor yacht, marina premiums in an August Hvar — we say so instead of pretending otherwise.

What We Don't Do

• We don't accept payment for placement, rankings or reviews.
• We don't run sponsored posts dressed up as editorial.
• We don't collect or resell your personal data — see the privacy policy.
• We don't pretend to be a broker. When you're ready for live availability, we hand you to specialists and step out of the way.
